Common Fixed Point for Weakly Compatible Mappings for Type (A) in Metric Space

• Abstract

  In this paper, we prove common fixed point theorems for weak compatible mappings of type (A) in metric space under φ-contractive conditions. Our results extend some of the known results due to Prasad, Jungck-Murthy and Cho and Rani, Kumar and Chugh.
