Labiaplasty on Underage Girls

• Abstract

  The recent trend of undergoing labiaplasty among underage girls is a serious concern on many accounts and doctor's ethical dilemma is one of them. Though, the intentions behind opting for such operations are kept as private, yet it can be surmised that they are not associated with any kind of therapeutic value. Under such circumstance, this paper explores the pros and cons of this issue from an ethical perspective before concluding with the view that such practices are unethical and, doctors should not be influenced to perform labiaplasty on underage girls.
